Digital enthusiast with Norwegian roots

Frode Redigh Karlsen

Born in 1965, I spent my childhood and school years in Fredrikstad, Norway. During my studies I was fascinated by the IT world. I graduated as a software developer from the University of Applied Sciences in Østfold (Norway) and as a master of computer science from the University of Oslo (Norway).

In addition to this specialist knowledge, I also wanted to find out what makes the business world tick and to improve my English. I therefore completed my Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the CASS Business School in London, UK.

From the beginning of the 90s until today I held several positions in the business and consultancy world (see CV on Linkedin); the professionally most formative years were certainly at PA Consulting Group and at Accenture. While working for Telenor in Oslo, I heard of a project with O2 (at that time VIAG Interkom) in Munich, where they needed my skills. I got the position and was sent as an expat to Germany, where I have remained to this day.

I know the digital business from all angles: As a customer procuring services and solutions, as supplier of solutions, delivering projects as a consultant and contractor.

I do love a challenge and not just in my job. As an enthusiastic racing cyclist, I like to compete in amateur races such as the Frankfurt-Eschborn Loop or the Tour of Flanders.
